We once again dive into the pages of the Monster Manual as we learn the real-world history of some of D&D’s most famous monsters and sacre bleu were we in for a surprise! We kick things off with the (outwardly) horrifying Rakshasa, a little history from it, and how we can use the rich lore therein to spice up an already intimidating stat block. Then we start digging into the flail snail, but we dug too deep and too greedily, as we soon discover that this dopey but bejeweled creature is actually based on something far more terrifying. Can snails be scary? I guess so!
The Brews:
While talking about the finer points of James S. A. Corey Caliba’s War Andrew enjoyed a sugar filled Monster to get through this episode and Jose found his serenity with a delicate canned Peach Oolong Tea he found at this favorite asian store.
